We are currently working with a client in East Tennessee to help them find EMC Engineers for their Nuclear Consulting business. Our client focuses their efforts in testing of process instrumentation and development of specialized test equipment and software products for power and process industries and has been the leading supplier of equipment, training, and services for in-situ response time testing and on-line calibration of temperature and pressure instrumentation in nuclear power plants.
The EMC Engineer performs engineering work of various types to collect and analyze data at customer's sites using specialized data acquisition equipment and analysis software that is designed and manufactured for the client’s purposes. The EMC Engineer will confer with other engineers, clients and others to discuss existing or potential project issues and challenges. He/she will perform EMI troubleshooting of I&C and Power Systems and will work with site personnel to perform necessary root cause analysis for problem solving. Report writing will also be a key component of this role as will maintaining excellent interpersonal relationship both within the company as well as with client contacts.

SUMMARY
Assist with the Design, development,
validation and therefore expand strategic technology product portfolio from
conception, launch to obsolescence. These responsibilities specifically include

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Help with the design, development, validation and expansion of strategic
technology product portfolio. Facilitate specific customer CFT meetings and
specific development timelines including the development of an open issue
matrix. Manage Wind-chill, customer level drawings, L.T.R.’s &
ADVP&R Develop, implement, track, and report the Project Design
Validation Plan and Report (DVP+R) Coordinates product, mating
components and subsystem testing with the customer and/or suppliers for
validation purposes. Aid in the development of standardized design
validation test procedures. Assist in collecting and analyzing VOC data
so effective benchmarking can occur. Must demonstrate the ability to work
closely with manufacturing personnel, both inside and outside the company,
therefore retaining a focus on DFM. Assists with design and
manufacturing quality concerns and failure analysis.
KNOWLEDGE AND
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a strong mechanical
aptitude. Minimum of 6-8 years experience with Electromechanical
devices & EMC experience. Previous experience with Valves,
Thermal management Systems and Fluid Handling Systems is highly
desirable. Familiarity with microprocessor integration or programming is
highly desirable. Motor Design and testing is a plus.
Innovative engineering skills with strong cross functional communication capabilities,
who is confident and highly articulate in relaying technical information
to customers and internal teams. Working knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R,
APQP, DOE and GD&T. Working knowledge of materials and
processes required to manufacture of plastic, metal, rubber and composite
materials. Working knowledge of customer development processes and

Job Summary: With little assistance, design the electro-magnetic compatibility portion
of products.
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Job duties: Assist in establishing EMC design criteria to meet customer
requirements. Design EMC portion of unit per design specification (-680) or per sales design data or per individual customer specification. Recommend, maintain, and utilize EMC based software to aid in design of EMC portion of products. Coordinate activities of printed circuit board designers. Senior Electrical Engineer
Sirius XM Radio has an immediate need for a Sr. Electrical Hardware Design Engineer, whose primary responsibilities will be the design of OEM and aftermarket satellite receivers and the architecture development of advanced product concepts and new module reference designs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work under the direction of Core Engineering Manager to define and develop the reference circuits used within our products, to manage the activities of junior engineering partners, and to develop and manage programs both internally at Sirius and with Sirius receiver partners.
· Define, design, and develop the interface and support circuitry needed to integrate the Sirius Satellite Radio chipset. Circuits include linear and switching power supplies, microprocessors, audio analog circuitry, amplifiers, digital interfaces (CPLD & FPGA), RF circuits, memory, Serial and USB interfaces.
· Provide input and design support for advanced product concepts. Develop quick turn prototypes that can demonstrate to Sirius Sr. Management new product concepts and features.
