Abstract:
Planning for an EMC test is critical to a successful test. However, customers often consider test planning to be an ‘extra’ task that should happen automatically without any input from them. Several aspects of a successful test plan MUST come from the customer, or a customer engineer who clearly understands the operation and application of the device to be tested. This paper describes the various elements of a successful test plan, notes where input from customers is needed, and suggests ways to encourage their participation.
