Abstract:

IEEE career and employment assistance tools will be demonstrated, along with practical recommendations and tips on creating an effective resume, using the IEEE Career Asset Manager and the IEEE Career Navigator.

A panel of EMC laboratory managers and staff recruiting personnel will be present to discuss current and future employment opportunities in the EMC community, local and extended.

Kimball Williams - Moderator

Biography

Kimball Williams: Senior Manager with Denso International America in Southfield, MI, USA where he is the technical lead for the EMC test laboratory. Kimball has a BSEE degree from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, MI.

His professional experience includes the following:

Principal EMC Engineer for Eaton Corporation for 26 years,

Principal Designated Engineer for Underwriters Laboratories for 3 years,

Senior Manager Denso EMC Laboratory: December 2004 to Present.

Member-IEEE EMC Society Board of Directors and Society past President

Member-IEEE EMC Society Standards Committee,

Member-IEEE TMC Board of Governors,

Secretary-Southeastern MI Chapter of the IEEE EMC-S,

Past Secretary & Vice Chair Southeastern MI IEEE Section,

Chair-IEEE International EMC2008 Symposium in Detroit.

National Association of Radio and Telecommunications Engineers (NARTE) certified EMC & ESD engineer and a member-Board of Directors for NARTE. Member-SAE EMI and EMR Technical Committees for automotive EMC standards, US Technical Advisory Groups to CISPR/D, ISO/TC22. He holds one patent in electro-technology, is an amateur radio operator (N8FNC), scuba diver and private pilot.
