Abstract

“Model & Measure” The usage of high frequency design & analysis software, including Electronic Design Automation (EDA) physical analysis tools, to provide better capabilities to minimize Electro-Magnetic (EM) "hot-spots". The discussion will include the differences between planar & full 3D solvers, quasi-static, and full-wave, assumptions, far-field projections, and applications.

There will be a discussion of modeling & measurement across multiple domains, including system, circuit, frequency, time, & physical analysis domains. Links & integration with physical hardware measurements and software analysis will be presented.

The presentation will run about 60 minutes

George Crumrine

Bio

George Crumrine is an Agilent EEs of Applications Engineer, and has been with HP/Agilent for 17 years. He holds a BSEE from the University of Cincinnati, and has worked with the HP/Agilent/EEs of EDA group for more than 10 years.
